Position Description:The German University in Cairo is looking for highly motivated applicants wishing to join the Faculty of Information Engineering and Technology. Successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching as well as conducting research in the field of semiconductor engineering.
He/She will be responsible for the fundamental education in solid-state electronics, semiconductor devices, processes and their electrical characterization, semiconductor technology, and microelectronic components. Specialized courses are expected in the areas of microelectronic circuits, microelectronic circuit technologies, microelectronic system design, sensor and display technologies. Successful candidate will be also responsible for the cooperative participation in the Microelectronics and Advanced Microelectronics Laboratory Courses for the Bachelor and Master Programs in IET. In research, many possibilities exist, such as simulation of microelectronic circuits and systems, measurement and testing methods, microelectronic circuit design methods, reliability analysis and fault-tolerant design techniques.
Qualifications:Candidates should hold a doctorate / Ph.D. in a related area, and should demonstrate a track record or potential for conducting and supervising leading research projects. With at least 3- 5 years' teaching experience or a Professor rank in the field of speciality. Some experience and demonstrated interest in interactive media is desirable.
