Malaria Consortium (MC) is seeking to appoint a Country Finance Manager (CFM), an integral part of the country Senior Management team, and who will work closely with the management, technical and operations teams in country. The CFM will be responsible for managing a team of six, and for the effective management of the finances of the Mozambique programme, overseeing donor reporting, budget preparation and all financial and management accounting. Providing a proactive, efficient, timely and relevant finance service to the technical and operations departments, the CFM will ensure proper books of account are maintained in compliance with local law and MC Finance Management Policies and Procedures, and timely management and financial accounting reports are provided to regional and head office staff, as laid down in the reporting timetable. The successful candidate will have good written and spoken English along with: • Extensive experience in a finance team, to include significant experience in a managerial position • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Experience in training and developing finance staff • Good analytical and reporting skills • Strong ability to be able to manage and prioritise multiple tasks • Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft excel
We are also particularly interested in hearing from candidates who in addition to meeting the essential criteria above, also have knowledge of NGO donors and their financial reporting requirements, along with a working knowledge of Portuguese.
