Communications and Fundraising Officer – CONGOMA
Take led in the documentation and communication function of CONGOMA, Identify and implement communication and marketing strategies for CONGOMA and its member NGOs to key stakeholders, Develop and distribute newsletters, Update NGO database, Update CONGOMA website and revamp the Resource Centre, Attend to official enquiries about CONGOMA and NGOS in collaboration with other management staff, Assist in developing fundraising plans, Assist in identifying new grant windows and develop funding grant documents, Draft project and annual reports, Assist to membership issues/concerns, Assist in identifying information needs of member NGOs and District CSO networks, Attend to any other duties as assigned from time to time by Executive Director or management
Maximum of first degree in journalism or Communications/Information Management from a Govt recognised institution, Minimum of 3 yrs relevant experience at senior level in fundraising and communication, Excellent knowledge of development issues in Malawi, Excellent written and spoken English, Good writing and speaking skills of French or Portuguese will be an added advantage, Excellent knowledge and skills in managing websites and libraries, Excellent knowledge of the following computer packages: Word, Power Point, Publisher/Quark express/Page Maker etc, Familiarity with the work of NGOs in Malawi, Good knowledge of governance, marketing, capacity building and advocacy issues, A self starter that can work with minimum supervision, Good supervisory skills
3 yrs renewable contract, Attractive remuneration commensurate with experience and qualifications, Merit based recruitment
