Effective management of sugar cane haulage to the mill and general service delivery to the customer, Effective customer relationship management, Manage the administration, financial, human resources and vehicle operating, Check operational and statistical data and take control measures where required, Manage the safety, health, environment and quality of services delivered, Liaise with technical management to ensure that service schedules are adhered to all times, Submit daily returns to strict deadlines
Must have management skills including human resource management skills, Thorough knowledge of sugar cane logistics and supply chain management, Knowledge of logistics equipment, fuel management, equipment maintenance management and general knowledge of the operations and configuration of mechanical vehicles, Knowledge of general expense management and budgeting, Sound knowledge of policies and procedures in supply chain and logistics management, Knowledge of company recruitment, disciplinary grievance procedures, Ability to manage written and verbal service level agreements, The person must be highly creative with strong analytical skills, a team player with a high level of interpersonal and leadership skills, Must have not less than 3 yrs experience in management and implementation of logistics and transport in a senior position, At least an MSCE plus Diploma in Logistics and Transport, Must have the understanding and practices of sugar cane logistics,
Must be able to work in shifts, at odd hours, without supervision and to strict deadlines, Must have a valid Class C drivers licence at least
