Finance and Administrative Director

CAMRIS seeks a Finance and Administrative Director (FAD) to provide financial, operational and administrative support USAID/Malawi’s upcoming One Community activity to help mitigate the impact of HIV, reduce HIV incidence, and improve clinical outcomes among targeted priority populations through comprehensive community-level activities. Additionally, the One Community activity aims to prevent new infections among targeted Malawian priority populations to enable them to achieve their maximum potential as individuals and citizens of Malawi.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The FAD will be responsible of for overseeing project finances and other operational and administrative duties.
  • The FAD will supervise all grant management and reporting on grant performance as well as provide financial and technical management to ensure best use of resources by preparing sound budgets, monitoring project expenses, and ensuring timely preparation of donor financial reports.
Required Qualifications:
  • The FAD must have at least 10 progressive years of experience as a Senior Finance and Operations Manager with related project(s).
  • S/he must have thorough knowledge and understanding of professional accounting principles, theories, practices, and terminology.
  • Additionally, s/he must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing and have a high proficiency in the use of computer, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word etc., and the ability to use various commercially available accounting software programs.
  • S/he must have a degree in Accounting and advanced degree in social sciences, public administration or a related field.
