Investment Analyst – National Bank of Malawi – Blantyre
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above post at NBM Capital Markets Limited in Blantyre. NBM Capital is a wholly – owned investment management subsidiary of National Bank of Malawi. Reporting to the Fund Manager, the successful candidate will among other duties be responsible for the following
Investment research and business intelligence functions
Analysis of the capital and money market instruments
Execution of corporate finance and advisory services
Management of investment portfolios in line with client’s mandate
Evaluation and monitoring of investment risks

Interested applicants should be holders of a degree from a recognized university in a relevant field of study such as Accounting, Corporate Finance and Investments and Economics with at least 3 yrs work experience, They should also have good analytical and reporting – writing skills. A thorough knowledge of capital and money markets backed by technical competencies is a MUST
Ideally applicants should be familiar with both the Securities Act 2010 and Financial Services Act 2010 which govern the asset management industry. Besides they should be familiar with the trading ethics and regulations of eh Reserve Bank of Malawi and Malawi Stock Exchange
