Warehouse Supervisor – Trans Maritime – Chirimba – Blantyre
Applicants must have MSCE and at least a Diploma in Transport and Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Shipping and Customs Clearing or Warehousing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a reputable institution
Reporting to the Exports Manager, the successful person w ill among other things be responsible for Supervising warehouse staff – tally checks, forklift operators and porters in receipt and dispatch of tea, Ensuring that tea stock into/out of the warehouses are weighed and recorded accurately, Maintaining records of incoming and outgoing tea with proper shipments and supporting documentation, Coordinating the safe loading and offloading of teas on trucks, Ensuring that warehouse equipment is regularly serviced, Controlling packaging materials and preparing usage reports, Controlling and reconciling physical against book tea stock and preparing daily tea stock reports, Ensuring compliance to housekeeping and QHSE policy
To effectively discharge the above responsibilities, the desired person should be mature and focused on achieving results and must have exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills, The ideal person should have at least 3 yrs experience at supervisory level looking after a large blue collared workforce in a busy warehouse.
