This post is located in the Automated SYstem for CUstoms DAta (ASYCUDA) Programme of the Division on Technology and Logistics of UNCTAD. The Information Systems Officer reports to the Chief of ASYCUDA Programme.

Education
Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related area. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in ICT systems analysis and design, installation, configuration, testing, piloting, rollout, administration and maintenance or related field. The following experience would be an advantage:
a) participation in the organization and delivery of ICT training courses within governmental agencies;
b) assignments in developing countries and/or transition economies within an international
organization;
c) participation in the implementation at the national level of an ICT system for Customs automation or similar.

Languages
English and French are the two working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English or French is required, knowledge of the other is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language will be an advantage.
