Financial Settlement Division of Corporate Finance Department invites suitably qualified people to apply for a 24-month contract on Armscor�s Training and Development Programme (TDP).
The purpose of this job is to ensure timeous and accurate payment of invoices, rework orders and handling of amendments in support of the Acquisition process.
CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS
Check invoices against the contract conditions to ensure legibility, accuracy and correctness
Check for compliance of invoices to applicable to applicable legislation (VAT Act)
Perform calculations (rate of exchange, escalation, penalties and short-payments
Capture invoices on the system to the average value of R396 million per annum
Identification and processing of problem invoices
Liaison and corresponding with stakeholders (suppliers, banks, DOD)
Compilation of year-end provisions
EXPERT ABILITY AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Qualifications: B. Com Degree or National Diploma in Commerce with Accounting as a subject
Experience: No previous experience required
Special Proficiency Skills: Good interpersonal & communication skills, planning & organising skills, problem solving & analysis skills, numerical skills and accuracy, time management, ability to work in a team and computer literacy.
