S/he will be responsible for conceptualizing and managing the implementation of research projects, which may be long-or short-term in duration, including the FCAT social performance tool and related surveys (standard of living, loyalty etc.), and the supervision of related staff and consultants.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Strategy and planning:
- Research strategy;
- Research planning;
- Resource mobilization;
- Research implementation.
- Research policy and guidelines:
- Research management;
- Analysis and storage of data;
- Training and capacity building;
- Recruitment.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in International Development, Finance or related field. Postgraduate degree in research-oriented subject;
- About 7-10 years related professional experience;
- Proven experience working with large, multi-country surveys (quantitative and/or qualitative);
- Knowledge of research methods, survey implementation, analysis, and reporting;
- Knowledge of relevant trends in research and microfinance;
- Ability to write at a publishable level (prior publication required);
- Knowledge of research methods, research design, implementation, and analysis;
- Familiarity with IT used in research, including PDAs, database programs, and desktop publishing software;
- Strategic planning skills;
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in field-based data collection methods and tools (quantitative and qualitative);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
