Job Description
Job Responsibilities:

  • Register and license each vehicle, and ensure that licenses, insurance, road taxes, etc. are up to date
  • Maintain vehicle service and inspection records to ensure compliance with manufacturers' servicing schedules
  • Responsible for motor vehicle maintenance/repair cost projections, fleet management reports, maintaining motor vehicle register
  • Maintain records to demonstrate that fleet operations comply with Malawian law
  • Maintain vehicles in peak operating condition
  • Manage drivers’ time and scheduling
  • Record log-books and maintenance and repair/recovery of vehicles
  • Manage equipment inventory;
  • Manage a maintenance schedule, and monitor repair work, negotiating priority repair with service centers
  • Monitor and ensure that drivers comply with the law and PCI safety policies
  • Use GPS system to track vehicle locations
  • Ensure optimal scheduling of vehicles to reduce fuel expenditure and maximize programmatic delivery
  • Monitor vehicle performance and costs, analyzing data to identify patterns and take remedial action to reduce costs
  • Maintenance of accurate stores records and accounts through sound audit and stock procedures
Required Skills
 Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in management, administration or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics / fleet management
  • Experience with fleet management software and related computer applications
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Fluency in oral/written English
