Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and direction of the Country Representative in Juba, The procurement /Logistic Consultant will substantially contributes to the effective reorganization of LWF Logistic department and ensures that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in a professional way in purchasing of quality assured commodities, within acceptable timescales at a competitive prices.

Role & Responsibilities
To provide a professional procurement guidance to the LWF/DWS project; ensuring that procurement policies and operating procedures are followed in the purchasing of quality assured commodities to target timescales at a competitive price.
Specific Responsibilities
The main tasks for the consultancy are is
- Assess, evaluate and reorganize the task allocation within the Procurement /Logistic department,
- Introduce solid reporting and tracking systems in the Procurement/logistics department, reorganize stores/inventory management, fleet management and general procurement contracting.
- Complete the supplier prequalification process and explore the options for procurement from the regional markets.
- Support the preparation of the 2015 procurement plans,
- Train procurement /logistics staff (both in juba and the field) and recommend the ideal structure in the department.
- Provide professional advice and recommendation on how to maintain a logistics and reporting system that stands the test of the major funding agencies such as ECHO , USAID, UNHCR, DANIDA, German Government, and LWF’s related agencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. • Professional procurement certification desired. • Fluency in English required. • Legal ability to work in South Sudan is required. Interest, knowledge, or training in international development. •
Must demonstrate personal attributes such as loyalty and integrity in addition to being resourceful and flexible, which is inherent in this position.
ESSENTIAL
Evidence of practical experience in Procurement/logistics consultancy and coordination within the field of supply chain management (procurement, tendering, contracting, clearance, transport, warehousing, etc.), fleet/ transport management and asset management, distribution support.
