Depot Manager (Lilongwe)
A Position is available for an ambitious depot manager looking to take the next step in their career with an industry leader. We are looking for a determined individual capable of stamping their authority on one of the company's depots.
Main Aim of the Depot Manager Role:
Responsible for the overall upkeep of an extremely busy depot, you will manage and control all aspects of operations allocated to the site. Your main duties will include but not be limited to; strategic planning, rostering, route management, customer service, operational support and all aspects of people management including the smooth running of day to day operations. You will be expected to remain flexible to meet the needs of the business, and this will include Saturday.
Through efficient communication and liaison with Head Office you will ensure effective and profitable management of resources.
The Essential Requirements for this Depot Manager role include:
- Experience of depot/logistics management within a transport operations environment
- Full driving license
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent geographical knowledge
- Strong people management skills
- Health & Safety aware
- Change Management Experience
- Pro-active, firm and consistent approach
- Holder of a professional qualification(s) in a relevant field with not less than 8 years practical experience
