Global Seeds Malawi is a local seed company with a mission to provide high quality, improved and affordable seed for the benefit of smallholder farmers in Malawi, Global Seeds is implementing a 2 yr project called Masoto Foundation Seed Project with the aim of increasing the availability and access to foundation seed of Hybrid Maize and Legume seed to industry players such as seed companies, NGOs, Seed multipliers and related seed projects in Malawi, Global Seeds seeks the services of the following.

Project Officer – Lilongwe 

Operationalising a seed road map at rain fed and irrigated production sites for foundation seed of maize, groundnuts and common beans, Conduct training on basic seed production of groundnuts with smallholder farmers, Prepare reports on seed production and delivery of project outputs, work closely with project collaboration including Plant Breeders for technical backstopping, The incumbent shall report directly to the Project Manager 
At least a Diploma in Agriculture a, Seed Technology o related field of crop science from a recognised University, Those with BSc in Agronomy will have added advantage, demonstrate experience working in seed production and/or seed quality control, Proficiency in MS Office Applications, Excellent in spoken and written English, Ability to travel extensively, SADC driver’s licences
