District Performance Based Incentives (PBI) Program Assistant – Jhpiego
Reports to Performance Based Incentive Advisor
Location; PBI Pilot Districts (Chitipa, Nkhotakota and Mangochi)
Ensures the coordination of the implementation of the facility specific business plans in the respective districts by supporting the Health facilities process of implementing the facility selected activities in their business plans and makes sure that facilities implement their activities as per the agreed upon schedule, The PA will be part of the district PBI Coordination office and will work with the district team in ensuring that the pilot facilities report their performance data, receive their verification and later they are incentivized on time and later support the implementation of the priority activities selected by the pilot facilities for implementation. He/she will support the ensure implementation of the business plans by ensuring that all facility operations required to implement activities in the facility business plans are available on time and reported accordingly
Provide all the necessary technical support, To the pilot facilities in supporting the pilot facilities in the implementation of outreach clinics in all hard to reach areas proposed by the facilities, To the pilot facilities in organising trainings of providers in various requested domains as part of building their capacity to improve coverage and quality of services they offer, To the facilities in organising and implementing immunization sensitisation campaigns, To the facilities to organise and conducting drama groups sessions where needed and selected, To the facilities in organising and conducting community sensitisation meeting where they have been prioritised, To the pilot facilities in organising and implementing monthly technical and Health Advisory Committee meetings and program review meetings to all the pilot facilities, Support the pilot health facilities to conduct community home visits to pregnant women where they are needed, Supporting
the implementation of various review meeting like data review and case review meetings, Support the pilot health facilities to conduct open day sessions for activities by the health facilities (ANC, FP, MH etc0, Supervising the renovations and constructions taking place in the pilot health facilities, To the pilot facilities by ensuring that once the procured materials that are delivered at the districts, they are transported to the pilot facilities, To the PBI actors at district level and to the leadership of the district PBI governance structure through regular assistance in the organisation and implementation activities related to verification of indicators and data provided by the health facilities, Supporting the process of supportive supervision of the health centers in order to help them address issues identified as part of the recommendations during the quality verification
A Diploma or Certificate in Secretarial Studies from a reputable institution, A Diploma or Certificate in Administration from a reputable institution will be an added advantage, At least 2 yrs experience of increasing responsible position with administration and office management with an international organisation , Familiarity with health systems in Malawi, especially at district and health facility levels, Ability and desire to work effectively in a team as well as independently, Good interpersonal and communication skills in English and Chichewa, Working literacy in report writing, Word, Excel, and email (Outlook), Past record of working effectively in multicultural, multi-disciplinary, multi-organisational team environment, Willingness to work in the districts, PBI knowledge and experience is an added advantage
