Director of Finance and Administration.
Our client, a leading Malawian NGO, seeks to recruit a Director of Finance. The post is tenable in Zomba.

The organisation: The organisation exists to empower and mobilize  communities and stakeholders to take full ownership of development initiative through effective involvement and participation. It sensitises, motivates and mobilizes communities, to identify and change their own attitudes, behaviours and practices that negatively impact development initiatives.

The Position + Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Finance and Administration, will be responsible for inter alia:

* Managements and control of the finance and administration functions of the organisation;
*Preparation of budgets and control of the finance and administration functions of the organization;
*Preparation and presentation of monthly management and statutory accounts and reports;
*Ensuring compliance with donor financing requirements, in particular rules and policies relating to project expenditures and payments.
*Management and safeguarding the organization' assets.

Key Responsibilities (continued)
*Management of payroll + oversee people management.
*Ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are met on time: PAYE, VAT! WHT! FBT, Corporate Tax, Pension, Worker's Compensation, etc.

Qualifications + Competencies
* A Bachelors degree in Accountancy + Qualified Accountant with ACCA + minimum of 5 years experience in a busy NGO environment. Experience in USAID Projects will be an added advantages.
*Knowledge of SAGE Pastel Accounting Packages.
*Good character + Ethical + interpersonal skills + ability to produce reports under tight deadlines.
