Assistant Workshop Manager (Nchalo Depot)
The Job
- This is an exciting position in the Cane haulage equipment maintenance department based on the Nchalo Estate and involves the maintenance of Haulage and Loading equipment and requires strong management skills and the ability to meet uptime targets of 94%, equipment reliability and efficiencies are a must.
- It is an exciting position and the successful candidate will be actively involved in the day-today technical and administrative systems reporting to the Workshop Manager.
- The position entails assisting the Workshop Manager in the management of vehicle maintenance activities in a safe, productive and efficient manner with team work been a critical factor.
The Person
- • Must be highly motivated, creative, and innovative.
- • Must have strong interpersonal and team building skills and willing to respond constructively to direction.
- Must have good written and oral communication, organizational, analytical and computer skills
- The ability to work under pressure and have excellent diagnostics skills with attention to detail will be an added advantage.
- Must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years experience in the maintenance of Bell Equipment with a thorough knowledge on engines, transmissions, hydraulics and general heavy duty plant maintenance. Sound hands-on auto-electrical knowledge is also a requirement.
