Expression of Interest: Part Time Facilitators


The National Construction Industry Council (NCIC) was created by an Act of Parliament of July, 1996 and its mandate is to promote, regulate and develop the Malawi construction industry. The Council fulfills this mandate through amongst other interventions Capacity Building of its stakeholders. The Council, through its Training Department conducts training programmes for the individual/organizations engaged by its stakeholders mainly at its centers in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. The Council provides short-term training programmes which last up to 5 days and other programmes.
The Council now invites suitably qualified candidates to be included in the Council’s database of Part Time Facilitators in the following areas:

2. Construction Management
3. Procurement Management
4. Business Management
5. Electrical Technology and Installation
6. Solar Technology and Installation
7. Human Resources Management
8. Construction Management
9. Computer-aided design of buildings, roads, water and irrigation infrastructure
10. Business Communications
11. Information Technology
12. Engineering Surveying
13. Mathematics
14. Environmental, Health and Social Studies
15. HIV and AIDS Management
16. Road Construction Technology
17. Irrigation Engineering Technology
18. Construction Technology
19. Water and Waste Water Engineering
20. Hydrology
21. Geo-technical Engineering
22. Construction Materials and Methods
23. Plant Operation and Management
24. Professional Ethics
25. Any other relevant construction field.

The Part Time Facilitators will work under the supervision of the Training Director and overall guidance of the Chief Executive Officer.

Part time Facilitators are paid on an hourly rate basis and will be engaged on a need and adhoc basis.

Position Requirements
All interested candidates should have/be:
  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Effective written and spoken communication
  • Enthusiastic
  • Flexible
  • Willing to update and adapt skills as required by the demands of the role
  • Client – focused.
Education
Applicants should be holders of at least a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant fields from
accredited Universities.
