-Requirements description:
- Masters degree in economics, trade development, development studies, public administration, or other relevant / related fields.
- At least 3 years of professional experience at a practical and applied level in similar work correlated fields, with a proven track record of success in similar assignments;
- Good knowledge of policy/strategy implementation issues relating to trade, private sector led growth and development, and ability to undertake institutional and economic analysis (both quantitative and qualitative);
- Solid experience in process facilitation, meeting facilitation and secretariat functions.
- Experience in capacity development.
- Good team worker, able to build rapport and work constructively with both technical staff and senior rnanagement, capable of working effectively in a challenging environment.
- Sound judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
- Working expenence in the SADC and COMESA regions and Malawi is an advantage.
- Drafting skills are irnportant, as are a good working knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office suite of programrnes. The SWAp TA should also be an excellent English communicator, writer and editor.
