We are searching for Software Developers to join our dynamic research team, based at our Cambridge office in the UK. We are always looking for top talent to help design our next generation of industry leading products, and opportunities range from mathematical and algorithmic researchers, to software developers working on a variety of front-end or back-end products, from technical writers to cloud engineers working on our hosted environment. Responsibilities
  • Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compliers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools
  • Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
  • Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
  • Participates as a member of project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately-complex products.
Qualifications
The following qualities would all prove an advantage:
· Intelligence - a successful candidate will probably have or be expecting a II-1 or I (or equivalent) in a technical subject (eg Maths, Engineering,Natural Science, Computer Science).
· Good working knowledge of programming in a Windows or UNIX environment, and basic knowledge of C or Java.
· Ability to function well in a small team, requiring self-motivation and the ability to work well under pressure.
· Creativity and problem solving skills.
· The ability to meet and talk to technical customers.
