The recruitment process for GS positions is subject to local recruitment regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Officer and the overall guidance of the Chief, Human Resources the incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of actions
Act as HR Focal Point for the selection and recruitment of ITC GS temporary staff:
- Collect applications for temporary support staff positions through different channels.
- Ensure that advertising of announcements for temporary GS positions at ITC are placed in order to attract candidates for the Roster.
- Screen applications.
- Undertake interviews with candidates for further assessment.
- Coordinate and administer the Microsoft Office Proficiency Test (MOPT).
- Maintain a Roster database of eligible candidates for support staff fully screened and IT tested ready to be employed by ITC divisions on a temporary basis.
- Ensure that ITC temporary staff are periodically evaluated and/or upon their renewal/separation or transfer to other Sections.
- Manage the selection and recruitment of temporary staff in the General Services for periods under three months.
Other duties
- Prepare, issue and circulate job openings.
- Review and pre-screen applications to ITC job openings.
- Verify eligibility of shortlisted candidates according to mandatory requirements.
- Ensure the organisation and administration of written tests interviews, video conferences and travel of candidates, when necessary.
- Prepare and update selection and interview files.
- Respond to routine inquiries and information requests.
- Maintain monitoring lists for the recruitment of temporary, fixed term, interview planning; and preparation of statistics related to the recruitment and selection of staff members.
- Complete other duties as requested by the supervisors including providing administrative support to other HR projects and for the Junior Professional Officer Programme.
EDUCATION
- Completed secondary education, technical or commercial school.
- Must have passed the ITC Microsoft Office Test.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of five years of experience in a clerical or administrative capacity, preferably within an international organization.
- Experience in Human Resources is highly desirable.
KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and other standard software.
- Knowledge of IMIS or other ERP systems.
- Knowledge of the UN and/or ITC human resources rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
LANGUAGES
- Advanced knowledge of English with a working knowledge of French or Spanish.
- Knowledge of other UN official languages is an asset.
