Marketing Analyst

Our midstream line of business unlocks value with storage capacity of 16 million barrels ("bbls"). This will be increased to approximately 26 million bbls by 2014 in accordance with the capital investment programme currently being implemented and various investment opportunities being originated. It makes Puma Energy one of the largest independent fuel storage operators. The downstream business supplies gasoil, gasoline, jet and niche products (like lubricants and bitumen) to a global network of over 1,300 retail service stations, 28 airports worldwide and the construction industry. This enables infrastructure development in emerging economies.

Puma Energy is a privately owned company with two strategic partners and main shareholders - Trafigura Group and Sonangol Holdings. Although the company operates at arms-length from both, it benefits from their management expertise and market knowledge.

Main Purpose

• Develop relevant tool & KPIs  to monitor Retail performance (fuel, shop sales, lubricants)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop relevant tool & KPIs  to monitor Retail performance (fuel, shop sales, lubricants)
• Gather the relevant retail data from the different countries in the region/Africa, analyse performance and identify gaps 
• Participate in Retail IT projects (Retail/central) in order to optimize Retail data collection
• Assist Regional Head of Retail (RHR) in the implementation of retail  pan African or local marketing concepts (shop partnership, fuel cards, promotions)
• Assist RHR in all other tasks as appropriate

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Retail operations preferably in an oil 
• Analytical, very numerate (deep understanding of figures) and ability to highlight quickly the main elements of a sales report
• Possess a very good knowledge of excel, PowerPoint
• Aptitude/sensitivity to Marketing topics 
• Good presentation & communication skills, ability to liaise easily with the key retail stakeholders in the countries
• Master level in economics/marketing,  5-7 year experience
