Description
The University of Amsterdam (UvA) offers a range of programmes that not only allows students to study the subject of their choice in depth, but also provides the opportunity for a multidisciplinary approach.
Teaching and research at the UvA are offered through seven faculties:
Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences;
Faculty of Law;
Faculty of Humanities;
Faculty of Economics and Business;
Faculty of Science;
Faculty of Medicine;
Faculty of Dentistry (ACTA).
A prestigious new scholarship programme has recently been launched targeting exceptionally talented Master’s students from outside Europe. The UvA will award up to 15 of these scholarships annually.

Eligibility
Students from any discipline who graduated in the top 10% of their class may apply. Selection is on the basis of academic excellence, ambition and the relevance of the selected Master’s programme to a student’s future career. In order to apply you must:
Hold a non-EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support understudiefinanciering, the Dutch system of study grants and loans
Be (provisionally) admitted to an English-taught Master’s degree programme at the University of Amsterdam

Scholarship
The Amsterdam Excellence Scholarship (AES) is a full scholarship of €25,000, covering tuition and living expenses for one academic year. There is the possibility of an extension for a second year for two-year Master’s programmes.
Application
