If you are a graduate with at least three years’ experience of administration covering financial payments; monitoring and reporting expenditure against budget; and drafting correspondence dealing with external queries, then this could be your ideal next career step.
You will be giving administrative and logistical support to our Health & Education team who are focused on addressing the poverty-related health issues and educational challenges faced by some member nations.
This is worthwhile work involving analysing, interpreting and delegating incoming electronic and postal mail then acquiring any background information needed; processing invoices, monitoring expenditure and attending budget meetings; up-dating records; managing, co-ordinating and administering logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops and other events; preparing documentation; and reviewing and refreshing our intranet content.
You will be familiar with MS Office tools, including HR systems and Excel to produce reports and statistics; work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines; and take a flexible approach particularly to changing priorities.
We work with our 53 member governments in areas of economic, social and political development. We provide practical technical assistance, offering thought leadership, innovative solutions and advocacy as we improve the wellbeing of 2.2 billion citizens, 60% of whom are under 30 years of age.
