Regional Quality Controller
REGIONAL QUALITY CONTROLLER Chibuku Products Limited, the leading manufacturer and distributor of opaque beer and maheu, is looking for suitably qualified & dynamic candidates with quality control experience to fill a vacant position of Regional Quality Controller - South. This key position reports to the National Quality Assurance & Risk Control Manager. Chibuku Products Limited is an “equal opportunity employer” The successful candidate will be expected to manage the quality assurance function for the Southern Region to ensure conformity to standards of raw materials, process and finished products as laid down by Chibuku Products Limited. Duties and Responsibilities will be, but not limited to:- § Ensuring all Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and procedures are implemented as designed§ Analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products§ Implementation of corrective and preventive actions§ Enforce good manufacturing processes and good housekeeping§ Provide timely feedback to brewers and operators on identified non-conformances§ Data analysis of laboratory results§ Conduct quality and safety audits§ Conduct factory inspections and enforcing compliance§ Conduct risk assessment and hazard analyses§ Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times in all breweries§ Organizing and training staff in safety skills and producing company reports§ Ensuring that Industrial effluent in all breweries is being disposed as required by the by laws§ Ensuring that all company waste is disposed in a manner that does not harm the environment§ Drive sustainable development projects§ Responsible for the waste recycling projects§ Conduct boiler water analysis§ Ensuring that all laboratory equipment is calibrated on every 6 months§ Ensuring availability of Laboratory apparatus and chemicals§ Championing all new product or process development as identified from time to time§ Ensuring that there are good channels of customer feedback through the use of customer complaint forms and Market Quality Index reports The ability to effectively manage and coordinate the Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Health & Safety activities in CPL breweries, in line with the SABMiller principles to maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety, security, welfare and integrity of the breweries to ensure the Company complies with its statutory obligations will be critical. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, be self motivated and committed to achieving deliverables as well as having good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in English and computer literacy in excel, word and power point are a must. A high level of integrity with sound ethical values and the ability to be decisive and assertive are essential. Minimum competencies required are Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. Those with a Diploma in Food Science or Laboratory Technology plus 5 years practical experience will be considered. The position requires time in field work away from home and therefore willingness to travel is a MUST.
