Organizational Setting and Reporting
The Internship is located in the Information Technology Service (ITS), Division of
Management (DM), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna Austria.
ITS supports and maintain the telecommunications, the network infrastructure, the electronic files and mail servers, the desktop equipment, enterprise resources planning systems, and office automation applications. Our services are provided to the UN Office at Vienna, UN Office on Drugs and Crime, and other UN Offices that work in the Vienna International Centre.
The Intern will work under the direct supervision of Professional staff of the Branch.

Responsibilities
Under the technical supervision of the Anti-Corruption Solutions Team Leader, the intern
shall:
Assist in drafting user manuals for Anti-Corruption Software
Assist in performing test
cases and user testing of Anti-Corruption Software
Assist in drafting various types of correspondence
Update public website content
Perform other tasks as necessary.

Education
Applicants for an internship must be enrolled in a full-time university degree programme
(Master's or equivalent) in a graduate school (second university degree or higher), or, if
applicants are pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into
undergraduate and graduate stages, they must have completed at least four years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of a graduate degree in Information Technology or related.
Work Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the
programme, but are encouraged to list all relevant work experience in their application.
Applicants must have a keen demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and
have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. Fluency in English, i.e.
oral and written proficiency is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations
language is an advantage.
