Job purpose and key deliverablesPurpose Statement
Reporting to the Green Lead Threshing (GLT) Plant Engineer, the Projects Executive is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing all projects on time and in full.

Key Deliverables


  • Manage project designs, technical details and follow up on approvals. 
  • Ensure scope of works are done, reviewed and submitted on time  
  • Ensure satisfactory execution and completion of projects within agreed budget, agreed time schedules and to agreed specification 
  • Compile, submit status, highlight reports and conduct project implementation reviews 
  • Inspect and coordinate building maintenance, civil works in the GLT site. 
  • Supervision of technical contractors and service contracts. 
  • Overall responsibility (technical) for the site in terms of technical standards, alignment with Regional/ Global operations and compliance with local legal obligations 
  • Ensure all projects drawings are correct, archived to required BAT standards. 
  • Engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered in time in full. 
  • Ensure timely completion of all contractors work orders and correct invoicing. 
  • Identify gaps, opportunities in existing GLT infrastructure and appraise management accordingly. 
  • Maintenance and upkeep of Leaf plant roads and buildings. 
  • Ensure all statutory inspections for buildings and equipment are carried out. 
  • Innovate and develop an environment which seeks continuous improvement.
Essential requirements

  • A degree in mechanical Engineering 
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a mechanical/plant Engineer 
  • Experience of Project Management using Prince2 methodology Experience in contract - management and good negotiation skills 
  • Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD
Desirable requirements

  • High degree of assertiveness, self-motivation and discipline.   
  • Good reporting skills and presentation. 
  • Proven leadership experience 
  • Ability to take clear decisions in different and difficult situations and a high degree of innovation.
