Assistant Security Officer Wanted at Parliament of Malawi

Post: Assistant Security Officer

Grade: K/EO

Responsible to; Senior Assistant Security Officer

Salary:  Within salary range applicable to Grade K in the Parliamentary Service

Purpose of the Job

To provide security cover and surveillance to Parliament property and staff.

Duties:

1. Assisting the supervision of Junior Officers,
2. Manning the place of work and reporting any act of insecurity to the supervisor,
3. Maintaining the,occurrence book;
4. Screening visitors both going in and out of the campus,
5. Leading a team of Security Assistants during foot patrols within the Parliament premises,
6. Manning the surveillance cameras and the security control room

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Diploma in a relevant field such as Security or Psychology and Counseling
• An  experience in the Malawi Police Service or Malawi Defense Force desirable
