Mining Assistants (Several Positions - Central & Southern Regions)

POST: Mining Assistant

GRADE: . M

RESPONSIBLE TO : Assistant Mining Engineer (Grade K)

SALARY : Within the Range of Grade M, Salary Scale Segment

LOCATION: Department of Mines Headquarters, Regional Office North and South

AGE : . 25 – 35 Years

QUALIFICATION

Applicants must have MSCE with Credit in Geography and any other two Science Subjects.

DUTIES

1. Collection and compilation of mineral production sales and other relevant statistics
2. Train small scale miners in good production methods and value adding
3. Processing of mineral rights application in accordance with Mines and Mineral Act.
4. Provision of technical extension services to artisanal and small scale miners
5. Conducting of mining claim pegging exercise
6. Inspecting of mining claim areas to ensure that operations are carried out in accordance with Mines and Mineral Act.
