Job Purpose:
Provide an agreed range of efficient Information Communication Technology services to the National Assembly staff to enable it meet its strategic objectives.
Duties
- Provides ICT helpdesk and applications support services;
- Maintains and supervises the integrity and security of the computer and telecommunications environment and networks within the National Assembly;
- Ensures the development of IT security policy and standards and ensures compliance to same
- Advises management on the process of procurement and disposal of ICT equipment and maintains and monitors inventory of ICT assets (hardware and software) database,
- Directs and manages software installation, maintenance, upgrades and licensing’,
- Creates and maintains National Assembly website procedures for network and workstation quality control;
- Supervises and maintains database, network users, email accounts and functionality, anti-spam, hardware and anti-virus protection,
- Conducts position-specific staff orientations and trainings on data entry and use of coding within databases;
- Provides advice on the use and operation of computer systems and software required for Parliament business;
- Manages access control systems, video surveillance, and the investigation of IT security breaches
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Masters Degree in Computer related field with five (5) years’ post qualification experience in IT at a senior level
