Senior Security Officer Wanted at Parliament of Malawi

Post: Senior Security Officer

Grade: H/P8

Responsible to : Senior Security Officer

Salary; Within salary range applicable to Grade H in Parliamentary Service

Purpose of the Job

To supervise and coordinate security staff and operations.

Duties

1. Conducting drills and daily briefing of security personnel;
2. Supervising work shifts and schedules,
3. Preparing and submitting periodic security reports
4. Escorting accounting staff to and from banks and during payments,
5. Appraising staff under his/her charge,
6. Ensuring harmonious work relations among Security Personnel;
7. Organizing Refresher training of staff;
8. Participating in the preparation of sectional budgets work plan and reporting;
9. Ensuring availability of adequate Security tools and equipment,
10. Ensuring that test drills on fire evacuation are conducted effectively,
11. Advising Management on reported cases Or incidences of anti-social behavior,
12. Liaising with the Security Assistant on any relevant pint tasks

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors’ Degree in Security studies
• With three (3) years’ working experience in a Security Organization
