Registered Nurses (12 Positions)


PSI Malawi is a member of PSI international who is a global health organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like lack of family planning, HIV and AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition.
PSI Malawi is therefore inviting applications from highly motivated, qualified, experienced and result-oriented individuals to urgently fill the following vacant positions to be based in Blantyre; servicing districts in the southern region:
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform VMMC procedure by participating in task sharing and task shifting in line with MOVE MODEL
  • Assist lead surgeon during VMMC procedure
  • Monitor clients’ condition post operatively
  • Ensure IP measures are followed
  • Assist in managing VMMC outreach clinics
  • Attend and successfully complete training on male circumcision and counselling protocols
Qualification and Experience
  • Diploma in Nursing from College for Health science in conjunction with KCN or University Diploma/Degree in Nursing from KCN
  • Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in hospital/clinical setting
  • Must be registered with Nurses and Midwives  Council of Malawi
Skills and Knowledge
  • Must have community outreach skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have  analytical, facilitation, negotiating and problem solving skills
