- Job Description
- Reporting to the DCoP, the DRR Advisor must be able to
develop standard operating guidelines for field staff use for approaches in DRR
including responsibility for developing and implementing risk reduction
activities in the targeted communities with the following: leading and guiding
the community infrastructure linked to disaster risk reduction; protecting
people’s livelihoods from predictable shocks; assisting vulnerable people in
their own self-protection against hazards; supporting community organization to
collectively prevent or mitigate disaster; engaging District authorities to
harmonize disaster risk reduction activities. Mobilize and engage selected
communities in disaster risk reduction to develop community and disaster
specific sustainable solutions that can receive short-term support by the
project and long-term support from others including developing early warning
