- Job Responsibilities:
- Register and license each vehicle, and ensure that licenses, insurance, road taxes, etc. are up to date
- Maintain vehicle service and inspection records to ensure compliance with manufacturers' servicing schedules
- Responsible for motor vehicle maintenance/repair cost projections, fleet management reports, maintaining motor vehicle register
- Maintain records to demonstrate that fleet operations comply with Malawian law
- Maintain vehicles in peak operating condition
- Manage drivers’ time and scheduling
- Record log-books and maintenance and repair/recovery of vehicles
- Manage equipment inventory;
- Manage a maintenance schedule, and monitor repair work, negotiating priority repair with service centers
- Monitor and ensure that drivers comply with the law and PCI safety policies
- Use GPS system to track vehicle locations
- Ensure optimal scheduling of vehicles to reduce fuel expenditure and maximize programmatic delivery
- Monitor vehicle performance and costs, analyzing data to identify patterns and take remedial action to reduce costs
- Maintenance of accurate stores records and accounts through sound audit and stock procedures
- Required Skills
- Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in management, administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics / fleet management
- Experience with fleet management software and related computer applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Fluency in oral/written English
