The Lilongwe Academy is a Private school, which was registered in 2002 in Malawi. The vision of the school is Academic Excellence and Beyond. Consistent with this vision the school has adopted the University of Cambridge Primary and Secondary school syllabus up to A Level. Due to the desire to have a wholesome school nurturing the Academy has an Early Education Section for 2-5 year old children. In addition to the standard subjects the school has intentions to explore classes for some oriental languages, music and astronomy at a future date as other frontiers of arts and science.
On sports, the school has a junior international soccer pitch with Field and Track facilities including javelin, discus throwing, and a seven track lane racing field. The school has one of the most modern basketball courts, which has adjustable posts to facilitate the participation of both seniors and juniors. One of the academic achievements that the school has had is to have won the National Secondary School Science Competitions organised by the Kamuzu Academy, a top level grammar school in Malawi, in 2012, 2013 and Mathematics in 2014. Currently the school has an enrolment of close to 600 pupils.
The School is located in Area 47, Lilongwe, Malawi, just behind the Silver Strikers Football grounds. The Lilongwe Academy is governed by a Board of Directors. The administrative policies are supported by a high calibre Parents/Teachers Association which meets every quarter.

Candidates who would aspire to head this school are invited to apply for this post. The prospective applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s degree in education or any closely related subject. A degree in science will be an added advantage. In any case the candidate should have a good track record of hard-nosed management abilities and must have a flare for pushing development.
