Responsibilities:
CARANA seeks various short- and long-term Technical Specialists possessing expertise in the following areas:
- Environmental enterprise development
- Sustainable tourism
- Sustainable agricultural intensification
- Sustainable conservation finance
- Payments for ecosystem services
- Biodiversity conservation
- Sustainable forestry
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Management of ecosystem services
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in relevant field such as Natural Resource Management, Environmental Management, Forestry, etc.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in one or more of the specific areas of expertise listed above.
- Well-versed in the market-led approach to natural resource management including a proven ability to stimulate economic activity through investment and other related private sector development activities.
- Previous experience working on international donor-funded development programs focused on biodiversity conversation, national resources management and/or climate change, preferably for USAID.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in English required and advanced language capabilities in at least one other language preferred.
