Assistant Civil Engineer (f/m) for Water Treatment Plants
For a tender of a World Bank funded project in the water sector in Mozambique, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Civil Engineer.
This project concerns the following objectives:
- Improvement of conditions of water supply in the metropolitan area of Maputo
- Construction of water treatment plants (WTP) and transmission facilities, pumping stations, control tank (CTA), centralized technical management system (SCADA) and other ancillary structures
- Increase access to clean water to the residents in the Greater Maputo Area
Main tasks of the Assistant Civil Engineer:
- Carry out the duties of a Assistant Civil Engineer– carry out and provide all necessary activities / services as needed to facilitate project progress
Educational background:
- Min. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with focus on Civil Engineering
Essential experience and skills:
- Min. 5 years sound experience in the supervision of large water treatment plants, waste water treatment plants and pump stations, including water-retaining reinforced concrete structures
- Knowledge of FIDIC conditions with proven use in projects
Tentative time schedule:
Start of project: end of May 2014
Assignment time: 22 months
