CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for a Country Representative for the Mozambique office.
Job Profile
The Country Representative has responsibility for the Mozambique Country Programme and works with staff and partner organisations in Mozambique to realise the programme strategy. The post holder holds budget authority and management for the Mozambique programme and ensures good financial management of CAFOD funds and donor funds. Representation is a key part of the role and the post holder will effectively represent CAFOD to key local and international players and networks, including the local church, institutional donors and other key contacts.
Your profile
We are looking for motivated candidates with demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes in a development context with seasonal humanitarian scenarios and experience in one or more of the programme areas: Disaster Risk Reduction, sustainable livelihoods, peace and reconciliation, HIV and AIDS, Socio –economic Justice and advocacy and humanitarian responses in complex natural disaster emergencies (primarily floods and droughts). Candidates should also be confident in financial management and representing their organisation to National Government and International Donor community with the ability to secure new funds for a growing programme. A commitment to working in partnership is a must.
