Team Leader, expert in education sector

Minimum required professional and technical skills:

• Profound knowledge of the education sector and TVET in specific; 
• Very good knowledge of economic development of developing countries,
• Specific experience working with secondary education and skills development 
• Very good knowledge of the European Development Fund (EDF) and its procedures 
• Experience in survey design and analysis is necessary, unless the contractor decides to subcontract this part of the assignment.

The following professional and technical skills would be an advantage: 

• Successful experience in sector reviews/assessments and sector reforms, preferably within the Sub-Saharan African region 
• Specific experience in labour market analysis, SMME development and informal and formal sector analysis 
• Experience programme preparation and drafting programming documents according to EDF procedures 
• Successful experience in development of education/TVET sector programmes, preferably within the Sub-Saharan African region 
• Experience working in Malawi 

Team management skills:

• Used to work in a team

Communication skills:

• Strong analytical skills are required 
• Very good drafting skills

Language skills:

• Fluent in English
