Communications Manager

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Communication Manager for National Small Holder Farmer’s Association of Malawi. 
Based in Lilongwe and reporting to the NASFAM Development Director, the communications Manager is responsible development and management of all aspects of the NASFAM publications, media relationships, information material, promotion activities, corporate branding strategy and other related public and internal communication activities in order increase awareness of NASFAM’s peograms and services 
The key responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following; 
• Advise management on IEC needs for the organization 
• Producing IEC materials for NASFAM members and other stakeholders 
• Oversee the production of farmer newsletter and other publications 
• Manage the information desk at NASFAM 
• Manage and ensure implementation of the internal communications atrategy and oversee the corporate branding strategy to ensure consistent implementation across NASFAM 
• Manage the NASFAM website 
Essential Requirements 
• Bachelors degree in journalism or any related field 
• Good knowledge of desk top publishing 
• Experience in production of radio and television programs 
• Five years experience in a communication or promotion job of which three should be at senior level 
• Excellent writing and communication skills and a good command of both English and Chichewa languages 
• Self starter and innovative, ability to work with minimum supervision
