A vacancy has risen in the justice and peace of the Episcopal conference of Malawi in its programming section. The justice and peace commission is a social justice and advocacy aim of Catholic Church in Malawi working tirelessly to bring about a justice and peace society through various interventions in political and economic governance among many other interventions. CCJP is looking at strengthening its programming section with additional project coordination.
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Under the direct supervision of the national secretary, this is a senior position in CCJP national office and responsible in general for overall management and coordination of justice and peace programs in liason with other national project coordinators. CCJP Diocesan secretaries and project coordinators in advocacy work and subsequent project delivery
Key roles for the project coordinators include;
• Development and designing of justice and peace governance interventions responding to contextual national issues
• Mobilize resources for justice and peace interventions for the commission
• Manage project budget for specified projects of the commission
• Develop integrated projects with sister departments like Health Development, pastoral communication and education at national level and development in collaboration at other times with the Diocesan commission
• Strengthen monitoring mechanisms and documentation process for human rights issues and subsequent production of publications of the same for lobbying and advocacy intervention
• Organize national lobbying and advocacy initiatives with the national stakeholders responsible for production of project financial and narrative reports for internal management systems and cooperating partners

• Establish and maintain linkages with likeminded institutions like CSOs FBOs on social justice issues
PRE-REQUISITE QUALIFICATION
Academic qualifications; A Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Humanities, Political Science or any other relevant course with a minimum of 2 years experience
Professional qualifications; project management, stakeholder mobilization, engagement and lobbying and advocacy
Pre requisite job Experience; project proposal development skills, skills in training for transformation, public and stakeholder mobilization skills, passion and empathy at work for the poor and marginalized, faith-based work background, political economy, analysis skills, pastoral reflection skills and commitment for justice and peace interventions.
