The position is located in the Travel Unit within the Travel and Transportation Section (TTS), Commercial Activities Service (CAS), Facilities and Commercial Services Division (FCSD), Office of Central Support Services (OCSS). The incumbent will report directly to the Chief, Travel and Transportation Section and under the overall supervision of the Chief, Commercial Activities Service.
Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in business or public administration. A first-level university degree in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Work Experience
A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in management services with supervisory component, international travel management, procurement and contract management is required. Experience in complex contract negotiations is desirable. Experience within the UN System Organizations is desirable. Ability to use office automation programmes and working knowledge of enterprise resource planning management applications such as Integrated Management Information System (IMIS), SAP and airline reservation systems desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable.
