SUMMARY

Supervise support for all applications being used at the subsidiary by ensuring that the applications uptime is optimal and escalate problems to ISM/SSC if need arises.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Ensure timely completion of BOD and EOD
  2. Manage the direct reporting support team to ensure business continuity
  3. Ensure critical application issues are resolved and reported to ISM on time
  4. Ensures system reports and products are developed and tested on time
  5. Ensure continuity in service delivery as per SLA
  6. Ensure user complaints are logged, tracked and resolved as per SLA
  7. Ensure database accessibility and integrity are maintained
  8. Test and implement new application and database patches and fixes

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3-5 years of experience managing sizeable IT teams within a reputable financial institution

  1. Proven experience working with  financial application systems

  1. Knowledge of core banking business processes, database management and modern delivery channels and interfacing technologies.

Education & Experience             

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or related field and those with a professional Certification (ITIL, Project Management, Database Administration) would be a plus

Language Skills

Fluency in English required.
Fluency in French will be an added advantage.

 Should be able to prioritize tasks

  1. Knowledge in client-Server architecture
  2. Data Base Management Systems – SQL, Oracle, Sybase
  3. Banking Delivery Channels hardware and applications
