Project Officer

CCAP Synod of Livingstonia is part of Act-Alliance member of N’zatonse consortium, a grouping of four development partners which will be implementing a project titled. Strengthening public-private partnership in Social, Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) project with funding from German Development Bank (KFW). PSI is a leading body of the consortium and other members include Family Planning Association of Malawi (FPAM), Act-Alliance (Dan Church Aid and Norwegian Church Aid) as well as PACT Malawi. 
The departments want to engage the services of two project officers for the N’zatonse SRHR project as follows; 
Position : Project Officer 
Location : Mzimba North and South 
Reporting to: Director of Programs (Health Coordination) 
Overall Responsibilities 
Facilitate overall implementation of sexual and reproductive health Nzatonse project in Mzimba District and ensuring that the project goals are achieved. 
• Organize community SRHR structures and ensure their effective participation in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of SRHR interventions in line with N’zatonse project concept 
• Facilitating community capacity building trainings, for youth, women and on sexual reproductive issues within the project impact area 
• Facilitate regular dialogue with communities and ensure their effective participation in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of sexual reproductive health intervention in line with the N’zatonse project design 
• Supervise and provide technical support to community SRHR facilitators, new and already existing SRHR community structures within the project area 
• Collaborate and network with other key stakeholders in the Nzatonse project within Mzimba district. 
• Ensure proper accountability of financial and other resources within Nzatose project 
• Conducting monitoring and Evaluation of project intervations 
• Compile monthly and quarterly reports 
Qualification; 
• Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Environmental Health, Education, Agriculture, Community Development, and Social Sciences or any related field 
• Those with possession of Diploma in any of the above fields but with more than three years relevant experience may apply 
• Good understanding of sexual reproductive health issues 
• Ability to mobilize the community and coordinate project activities 
• Good written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision and meet the deadlines 
• Computer proficiency ( MS Word, power point and excel) 
• Ability to work under pressure and during odd hours 
• Mature and committed and practicing Christian
