Nutrition Advisor – Concern Worldwide – Mchinji
To insure the proper implementation of the component of the programme, in collaboration with the team members of the project and partner
Work with the community and health facilities to increase the early detection and treatment of malnutrition at the community level to prevent their progression to an emergency stage, Training and mentoring of Community Based Childcare Centre caregivers (CBCC), Identifies skills gaps and provides training to project partners as required, Ensure active engagement at district and traditional authority levels with administrative authorities, Develops, annual work plan for the project component with the support from the Project Manager, Reports to the Project Manager on progress including contributing to donor reports, Maintains contacts and effective communication with key partners involved in the project, Report on all meetings and develop ways to involve lessons learnt or disseminate information to CBO partner, Develop monthly plans and prepare monthly project reports
Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health/Master’s Degree in Food Science, Nutrition or Public Health, Minimum 3 yrs professional experience working with community based health or nutrition programs, Strong understanding of community mobilisation, capacity building and behaviour change communication methodologies, In-depth knowledge of Malawi’s traditional and local govt structures, Experience working in reproductive health and HIV and AIDS
