FIDES is seeking an IT System and Application Manager. S/he will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure (devices, networks, and users) and deliver the IT support the business functions. S/he will report to operations manager and this position is based out of Nampula.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Application management:
- Install and maintain commonly used applications;
- Maintain the production, testing, and backup environments;
- Manage user profiles and access.
- Infrastructure management:
- Hardware – install and maintain all the IT equipment (computers, printers, all other devices);
- Connectivity – install and maintain the LAN and WAN;
- Backup and disaster recovery – ensure backups and storage and maintain a fall-back/disaster recovery environment.
- Stakeholder management:
- Interact actively with the business functions and act as the conduit into IT service on issues, problems, and development activities;
- Engage proactively with business partners to consult and engineer on IT service, identify problem areas, and suggest improvements and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Computer Science education. Proven knowledge of hardware and network maintenance (alternatively, equivalent work experience in a similar position will be accepted);
- About 1-3 years experience, not mandatory;
- SQL/database knowledge is an asset;
- Language: English. Portuguese is an asset;
- Problem solver;
- Team player;
- Well organized and structured;
- Customer service and goal oriented;
- Proactive and hard-working.
