This Property is the largest, newly built retail centre in Lilongwe, Malawi, and is set for outstanding retail development within this region. We are seeking to appoint a well-experienced Retail Centre Manager who will take the property forward to successful implementation and growth.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience from within a large retail centre, in management of tenants, and ensuring the standards and quality of the building, the relationship with tenants and customer service are maintained at high levels.
The successful candidate will have expertise which includes the following :-
- Ensure that marketing, events and promotions conducted by third parties, fall within the regulatory agreements and parameters of the centre.
- Setting up and monthly reporting on all portfolio, facilities and operational budgets.
- Management of all leases, escalations and renewals throughout the centre and ensure that lease agreements meet legal parameters.
- Supervision of the Building Manager, and close liaison on all Facilities and operational issues
- Day to day oversight of issues relating to complaints, technical matters, and maintenance of standards and quality of services.
- Preparation of tenders, and management of approved capital expenditure and minor works projects.
- Oversight of Contractors to ensure compliance with standards.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong preference is for a candidate that has been in a similar management role in an upmarket retail centre consisting of a minimum of 100 retail stores of varying sizes.
- Excellent planning and financial controls
