Technical review and assessment of field based gender programs in Africa

Purpose:
UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultant for technical review and assessment of field based gender programs in Africa.

Minimum requirements and competencies:
• Advanced university degree (PhD preferred) in social sciences, public health.
• Ten years of technical experience in designing, implementing and evaluating different types of gender programs across a range of sectors.
• Strong analytical skills in gender programme design and evaluation, ideally at the national, as well as international levels.
• Substantive and programmatic experience in gender issues, with an understanding of social change, is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
