Purpose of Role: The successful candidate shall be responsible for the outbound prospecting and networking activities within the relevant African markets, in order to develop new opportunities while maintaining and servicing existing customer bases. Essential Duties and Responsibilites • Create prospects through lead generation and leverage existing customer relationships to promote and sell the total Edgen Murray product line servicing the specified market. • Develop strong customer and supplier relationships through regular communication and follow-up. • Timely and accurate preparation and submission of competitively priced quotations while endeavouring to maintain a maximum profit margin. • Work with the applicable Sourcing Manager and Project team to develop product, pricing and delivery strategies in order to present customers with the most favourable solution. • Negotiate credit and commercial terms and conditions to ensure sales contracts are accurately documented and in place for projects or orders booked. • Estimate date of delivery to customers, based on knowledge of inventory and delivery schedules and update all applicable parties and/or systems of any change in the estimated date of delivery. • If needed, act as a liaison to the customer during any activities related to a claim to ensure satisfactory resolution is achieved. • Prepare reports of transactions, forecast projections and overall commercial activities as required. • Tracking and management of customer, supplier and other relevant commercial data through the applicable systems. • Additional duties as may be assigned. |
| Qualifications : | Required/Preferred Education and Experience • Minimum Five (5) years relevant work experience • Local knowledge of Africa markets (North Africa and/or Africa Sub-Saharan) • Working knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry • Arabic French and English speaker • Product knowledge is preferable Computer Skills • Proficient knowledge of MS Office. |
