Air Conditioner/Refrigeration Technician
Paladin Africa Limited invites application from suitably qualified male or female Malawian nationals for the post of Air Conditioner/Refrigeration Technician tenable at Kayelekera Mine in Karonga District. This position will report to the Maintenance Foreman
The objective of this position is to conduct ongoing repairs, plant upgrade and preventative maintenance to maintain plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve production targets
Attend daily planned meetings and weekly toolbox meetings with Supervisor, Implementation and execution of all tasks and instructions as instructed by superiors, Be vigilant of company assets, monitor, report and action through the appropriate procedures, activities that result in the loss, misuse or misappropriation of company assets, Report near misses, incidents as they occur, Conduct FLRA prior commencing job, Ensure that performance and cost target are met as directed by the supervisor, Identify CI projects, Ensure that the efficiency, effectiveness and performances of maintenance strategies are communicated to the Supervisor, Supply feedback on completed work, included root cause analysis, fault finding, history data and work that is forthcoming to the Supervisor, Monitor breakdown to planned work ration to ensure compliance to the KPI, Prioritise resources and coordinate all unplanned work that arises over the course of the week, Attend workshop facilities and tooling, ensuring proper housekeeping is performed, tooling is secured, accounted for, maintained and replaced as required, Attend to equipment in the execution of the weekly work plan
Trade certificate in refrigeration technician, Minimum of 2 yrs relevant experience, Ability to receive problems relating to fabrication and give immediate corrective actions, Knowledge of or the ability to learn, the operation of the equipment used in work duties
